School employee certification database Postponed until October

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Maine officials say the Launch of a Brand New online database that shows If a College Worker passed a criminal History check has been delayed.     The Portland Press Herald reports  that the system was scheduled to start July 1. Officials say the system will not be completely functional until mid-October.     All school workers must have appropriate credentials for their occupation, including a criminal history check. However, the newspaper reports from assessing the listing of all college employees with credentials, the country was prevented by the old method.     Certification official Angel Laredo says the new system enables anyone to be able to assess the credentials of a faculty employee.
